Research: KYLE, Hip-Hop/Rap and Indie-Pop

KYLE is a hip/hop rap artist who lives in California, United States. He was a rapper formerly known by the stage name K.I.D, he is best known for his single "Hey Now" featuring Martin Solveig. He began singing at the age of six and was writing and performing his own songs by elementary school. He was born in Reseda, Los Angeles. He's associated with Indie-Pop, his label company.

Hip-Hop/Rap is a music genre formed in the United States in the 1970's which consists of stylized rhythmic music that commonly accompanies rapping, a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted. It developed as part of hip hop culture, a subculture define by four stylistic elements: MCing/rapping, DJing/Scratching, break dancing and graffiti writing. Other elements include sampling (or synthesis), and beatboxing.
